Terms and Conditions:

This document outlines the key policies and agreements for members of Crowns Gym Beckenham.

By signing below, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of these terms.

  1. Agreement to Terms and Conditions
    It is a condition of us allowing you to obtain a Membership and/or enter our Facility that you agree to our Terms and Conditions.
    By obtaining a Membership or otherwise physically entering the Studio, you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you will not be able to obtain a Membership or enter the Facility.
  2. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
    These Terms and Conditions can be amended by Crowns Gym Beckenham at any time. We will notify you in writing of any changes via email, on our website, or otherwise at the facility. You should familiarise yourself with these Terms and Conditions and check for updates regularly.
  3. Refusal of Entry or Ejection
    Crowns Gym reserves the right to refuse entry to or eject you from our facility for safety reasons or any other reason. Owners and/or instructors reserve the right to turn clients away if they do not have the correct medical clearance.
  4. Participation at Own Risk
    Participating in any form of exercise at our facility is done entirely at your own risk. Members are advised to seek medical advice prior to commencing any exercise program if they are in any doubt about their ability to engage in exercise.
  5. Health and Medical Information
    You must inform any instructor if there is any risk to your health by participating in any activity, including but not limited to existing injuries, muscle soreness or discomfort, and pregnancy prior to commencement. If you have a medical condition, we strongly advise that you seek approval from a medical practitioner to participate in any classes. Participation in exercise with a medical condition is done entirely at your own risk.
  6. Personal Belongings
    We are not responsible for the safekeeping of your personal belongings. We recommend that you only bring items which are necessary for the duration of your visit.
  7. Changes to Studio Opening Hours
    We reserve the right to change our opening hours at any time without notice to you. You will be notified of any permanent changes to our opening hours.
  8. Third-Party Client Management Software
    We use a third-party client management software known as “Glofox.” Payment must be made prior to making a booking. All bookings are made via the Glofox platform or the Crowns Gym website. To create a Membership or book a class, your personal information will be provided to Glofox. The collection and use of personal information by Glofox is governed by Glofox’s privacy policy.
  9. Class Minimum and Cancellations
    A minimum of two people is required for a class to proceed. You will be contacted via text, phone, or email 2 hours prior to the start of class should it need to be cancelled, and your session will be refunded.
    If a class is full, you can sign up for the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified by email or text offering you a place in the class. You have 2 hours to accept the position; otherwise, the spot will be offered to the next client.
  10. Lateness and Refunds
    Out of consideration for the instructor and other clients, please do not be late. If you are more than 5 minutes late for a class, your spot may be given to a waitlisted or standby client, and you may not be able to attend. There will be no refunds if you miss a class due to lateness.
  11. Crowns Memberships and Prices
    Please refer to our Third-Party Client Management Software GloFox for latest updates on membership prices. Packs and Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Packs can be extended if you are injured, in which case a medical certificate will be required. Extensions due to medical reasons must be requested before the expiry date.
  12. Single Class Purchases
    Single session purchases are valid for 1 month from the purchase date. Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  13. Non-transferable Sessions
    Sessions cannot be transferred to another individual and cannot be used by another person. If someone other than you has booked into the class and arrives to use the session, they will be asked to create an account and purchase their own session.
  14. Gift Vouchers
    Gift Vouchers can be used for memberships or fitness classes. Gift Vouchers may also be distributed as part of a marketing or promotional campaign. Gift Vouchers are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and expire by the date specified. We are not responsible for the loss or theft of Gift Vouchers, and unredeemed balances are non-refundable.
  15. Liability Waiver
    By entering Crowns Gym Beckenham, you agree to release Crowns Gym from all claims relating to membership, participation in any class, or from otherwise entering the Studio. To the extent permitted by law, Crowns Gym will not be liable for injury, illness, damage, or loss sustained in relation to membership or participation in any class.
    In the event that Clause 15 is not enforceable, Crowns Gym’s maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the membership fees paid by you in the past 12 months.
  16. Indemnity
    You agree to indemnify Crowns Gym from all direct, reasonable, and quantifiable loss or damage suffered by Crowns Gym as a result of you breaching these Terms and Conditions.

MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Eligibility for Membership
    To obtain a membership, you must be over 18 years of age.
    Note: Individuals under the age of 18 are not permitted to use the gym facilities.
  2. Finality of Membership Sale
    The sale of a membership is final. To the extent permitted by law, we do not offer any refunds for change of mind, user error, injury, illness, change of address, or any other reason.
  3. 12-Month Contract Membership
    By signing up for the 12-month contract membership, you acknowledge and agree that your membership is for a fixed term of 12 months. You understand that this contract cannot be cancelled unless under special circumstances such as illness, health issues, or other valid reasons. These circumstances must be supported by appropriate documentation (e.g., a medical certificate) and may be reviewed by Crowns Gym management. You are willingly committing to the full 12-month term.
    After the 12-month contract period expires, your membership will automatically convert to a flexible membership that can be cancelled or adjusted at any time, unless otherwise communicated to you.
  4. Price Increases
    We reserve the right to increase fees for ongoing memberships at any time. You will be notified in writing of any pricing changes, and you authorise us to debit any increased fee amounts from your nominated bank account.
  5. Introductory & Special Offers
    We will regularly review and update our range of introductory and special offers. These offers may vary over time, so we encourage all members to keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the latest promotions and updates. 
  6. Membership Cycle and Payments

All memberships operate on a monthly cycle. Payment will continue unless you notify us of a cancellation (see below).

MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSIONS AND CANCELLATIONS

  1. Suspension or Cancellation
  • A minimum of one month’s written notice is required to cancel or pause your membership.
  • Membership can be paused for up to 6 months; after this, it will be cancelled.
  • In case of long-term or permanent injury, membership can be terminated upon written confirmation from a medical doctor.
  1. Membership Termination
    Crowns Gym reserves the right to terminate any membership immediately for inappropriate, offensive, or illegal behaviour occurring on our premises or directed at staff or members.
  2. Class Cancellations and Penalties Policy
  • Cancellation Window: You must cancel at least 2 hours before the class start time through our online booking system to avoid penalties.
  • Strike System: A 3-strike policy is in place for late cancellations (within 2 hours of the class) and no-shows.
    For Memberships, Intro Offers, or Casual Classes, any missed or late-cancelled sessions will be deducted from your account.
  • Waitlist Cancellations: The same cancellation rules apply if you’re booked into a class via the waitlist. By booking a class or obtaining a membership, you automatically agree to the above Terms and Conditions.

Important Notice
This waiver outlines the essential elements of Crowns Gym Beckenham’s policies. It is intended to provide clear guidance on member responsibilities and facility use. 

LOCKER POLICY

At Crowns Gym, we provide lockers for members to store their belongings while using our facilities. To ensure a fair and secure environment for all members, please adhere to the following policy:
  • Lockers are available for use only during your time at the gym.
  • Members must empty their locker before leaving the facility each day.
  • Any items left in lockers overnight will be removed at the end of the day and placed in lost property.
  • Crowns Gym is not responsible for lost, stolen, or discarded items left in lockers after closing.

By signing below, you confirm that you:

  1. Agree to all the terms and conditions outlined above for use at Crowns Gym Beckenham.
  2. Have completed our Health Waiver Form.
  3. Agree to adhere to all Facility Use Rules as outlined in our Crowns Gym Policy and Etiquette Waiver.
